Should I be vaccinated against TBE?

If you regularly travel in a known TBE risk area outside of trails, in wild nature, where there are deer, and thus a higher concentration of ticks, it makes good sense to get vaccinated.

It may, for example, be relevant for hunters, campers, mushroom collectors, orienteering runners, forest workers and summer house owners.

The ticks are particularly active from May to October. Peak season for infection is from July to September.

On our website, TBE recommendations are listed under the countries where the vaccination may be relevant. If you have to stay in nature during the trip, it is more relevant to get vaccinated against TBE. If you will primarily be staying in urban environments, the TBE vaccine is less relevant.
